Camille Wynn, PhD, CCC-SLP

Camille Wynn is an assistant professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at the University of Houston. Dr. Wynn earned her Phd from Utah State University. Prior to pursuing a PhD, she worked as a speech-language pathologist at Cassia Regional Hospital. Dr. Wynn's research focuses on one of the things she loves most in life: using conversation to develop meaningful connections with others.
Lab Members
Leslie Lenert
Leslie is a second-year student in the Master of Communication Sciences and Disorders program at the University of Houston. She graduated with a B.A. in English with honors from the University of Texas. During her first year in the master’s program, Leslie was involved in developing and planning research with Dr. Monique Mills’s Child Language Ability lab, which focused on understanding language development, dialectal code-switching, and narrative assessment for children who use African American English. Leslie has also helped to coordinate and support the University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic as a graduate assistant for the past year. After graduation, she is interested in working as a speech-language pathologist with both children and adults, and is especially interested in impacting literacy development and speech disorders.
Adrienne Barros
Adrienne is a first-year student in the Master of Communication Sciences and Disorders program at the University of Houston. She earned her B.Sc. in Honours Biology from the University of Waterloo before advancing her studies in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Communicative Disorders Assistant graduate degree, graduating with Honours. Adrienne has accumulated two years of experience as a CDA/SLP-A, working in diverse settings including public schools, private clinics, and home health environments, with a focus on pediatric care. Additionally, she has served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo for five years, where she supported her peers in their professional development. Upon graduation, Adrienne aspires to work with both children and adults, with a special emphasis on feeding and communication therapies.
Kaylah Brown
Kaylah is a University of Houston Alumni. She graduated in May 2024 with her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Kaylah plans on working as a SLPA in a school district for a couple of years before deciding about going to grad school. During her free time, she enjoys traveling and taking her dog out for walks.
Araceli Jamaica
Araceli is an undergraduate student majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Houston. She enjoys working with children. However, she is excited to broaden her knowledge and open to working and specializing with all age groups. After completing her senior year, she hopes to attend graduate school.
Aleeza Adil
Aleeza is a Psychology major with a minor in Human Development & Family Studies at the University of Houston. After undergrad, she hopes to pursue a master’s degree in counselling and work as a psychotherapist. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and playing guitar.
Rayhan Roy
Rayhan is an aspiring pre-med student with an interest in neurodevelopmental disorders and biotechnology. His research interest includes speech expression following creative therapies in their potential alternative benefits to traditional medicine. His hobbies include writing and facilitating poetry workshops in a humanitarian effort to promote creative expression among disadvantaged people along with reading and playing tennis.
Vishal Baskar
Vishal is an aspiring pre-med student interested in Neurology and Public Health. He finds fulfillment in collaborating with children, and his passion extends to promoting community well-being. His hobbies include playing basketball, going to the gym, and reading.
